Edward Ruiz Cainglit, Esq.

As the firm’s founder, he holds the highest standard of client services, scholarship and lawyer accessibility.  He serves his clients by first listening closely to their goals, dreams and concerns.  He then works with his clients to develop superior plans that reflect the clients’ own unique situations, while putting his knowledge and expertise to work for their benefit.

Edward graduated from the University of Southern California and Whittier Law School.  While attending law school, Edward was a clinical instructor and course director at the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John E. Ryan of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.  He also interned at Ford, Walker, Haggerty & Behar, LLP, in their dental malpractice department.

After leaving the clinical environment of USC, Edward focused on merging his teaching background with trust and estate law by offering a unique approach to legacy planning. Edward prides himself on instilling peace of mind in his clients by incorporating specific requests, desires, and expectations into comprehensive estate plans.  His independent law practice focuses on counseling-centered consultations that foster enduring relationships with clients and their advisors, not on transactions.

Edward was raised in Southern California in a large family.  He recognizes each family has unique dynamics and circumstances so he tailors each consultation to the specific needs of the client. This includes asset protection planning, gift and estate tax planning, values based planning, charitable giving, trusts and wills, business succession planning, and trust administration. He is committed to helping his clients understand that the foundation of estate planning is not just saving tax dollars, but also appreciating the value of estate planning for themselves and their loved ones.

Edward resides in Thousand Oaks with his wife Nila and their daughters Alexandra and Natalia.
